Summary:

The purpose of the role is to support volunteers and other professionals with their training needs, developing workshops, delivering training, marketing, and commercialising training to generate an income for the charity and the post.

About Us:

Eye to Eye is an incorporated charitable organisation working across RCT, Bridgend and Merthyr. The charity which was founded in 1995 is managed by a Board of Trustees and has both employed and voluntary staff.

The charity offers a confidential counselling service to young people between the ages of 10 and 30 years, our counselling is free and can be accessed face to face or online.

We deliver in schools and the community using skilled trained counsellors who are members/ registered with the BACP..

The charity offers managed and supervised, voluntary placements to counsellors who wish to develop their skills working with young people. We also have a close working relationship with local colleges and universities offering placements to student counsellors.

The charity has a team of Response Workers who will respond to traumatic incidents that occur across their working area.

Eye to Eye is an organisational member of the BACP with additional membership to the Children and Young People’s Division. We are organisational members of ACTO ensuring our online work is in line with current policy. We work in partnership with the voluntary and statutory sector organisations across South Wales.

Job Role:

The candidate must have experience /knowledge of the delivery of competencies, as the role is to establish, design and deliver the BACP Children and Young Peoples Competencies to staff and purchasing professionals.

You will be required to support the trauma response team and counsellors working in schools enabling them to deliver workshops such bereavement and trauma during times of distress to schools and/or the local community.

Additional Information:

Contract:  Funded to the 31st April 2026 but expected to be a self-supporting financial role.

Location: RCT, Merthyr, Bridgend, but mainly from the office in Church Village

Salary: £30,226

Hours: 37 hours per week
