Summary:
Join our team of passionate individuals who are dedicated to empowering others, creating positive change, and transforming lives.
About Us:
Recovery Cymru is a peer-led recovery community organisation for people overcoming substance misuse based in South Wales. We have three main aims, some of which lead to work that spans Wales and the UK:
- To build the recovery community in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan
- To raise awareness of recovery and challenge stigma and discrimination
- To change systems: raising standards and creating environments for recovery
Background to Service:
Cardiff and Vale Drug and Alcohol Service (CAVDAS) is an Alliance of Barod, Recovery Cymru and Kaleidoscope Project. CAVDAS Alliance has been commissioned by the Cardiff and Vale Substance Misuse Area Planning board. CAVDAS will deliver an integrated young person’s, adults and family and carer information, advice, interventions, and support service. We are looking to build a new culture providing one system for Cardiff and the Vale and an innovative, and flexible delivery model. CAVDAS services will deliver a multifunctional team approach across the system, joining up interventions and creating choice for the people who access them. Peer support and coproduction are central to the model.
