Cyfannol Women’s Aid are an independent organisation which provides services and support across Gwent to individuals experiencing any form of Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse or Sexual Violence. We have a new and exciting opportunity for an Assistant Support Services Manager, an experienced and dedicated woman to join our team who can demonstrate integrity, self-awareness and resilience.
Empowering women and children to flourish in a life free from domestic abuse and sexual violence
The organisation delivers a range of services throughout Gwent that encompass prevention, awareness raising, safety, support and personal development opportunities for women and their children who have experienced domestic abuse and/or sexual violence.
As an Assistant Support Services Manager, you would work collaboratively with the Support Services Manager to provide specialist support to empower women and children living within Newport Local Authority Area who are affected by Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and/or Sexual Violence (VAWDASV).
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience providing direct support to vulnerable people, you will have a good knowledge and understanding of VAWDASV and how this impacts women and children and you will understand the importance of safeguarding and be able to pro-actively implement this. You will be confident in your ability to represent the organisation at external meetings and public events and be able to build strong relationships with external agencies. You will have a true passion for empowering women through their journey whilst raising awareness of this issue. You will also have some experience of supporting and managing staff. The successful applicant will be required to work some evenings and weekends and participate in our 3rd Tier out of hour’s on-call rota.
