Valleys Kids is recruiting a Youth Worker to deliver sessions at our Dinas Community and Family Hub in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

About Us:

Valleys Kids has a 43 year long successful track record of innovative community development initiatives. We began working in a whitewashed coal cellar in Penygraig with two staff on a job share and a handful of volunteers in 1977. Now we have 34 staff, over 100 volunteers, 4 community hubs, a residential centre on the Gower and 3 social enterprises including, The Factory, a centre for creative industries in Porth, the Play Yard in Treorchy and The Old Library in Penygraig. Our turnover is around £1.5 million per annum.

We have changed the lives of thousands of individuals across the South Wales Valleys. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to move from dependence to independence regardless of social, economic or geographic disadvantage.

Job Role:

Play has a vital role to play in the development of healthy children and young people and the role will require you to support the delivery of After School Play provision, and provide evening youth sessions for 13- 18 year olds. The post holder will also support the Play worker to deliver holiday play schemes and residential work.

Additional Information:

Duration:  3 year fixed term contract

Holidays: 25 working days per year plus statutory holidays.
