A Young Carer is someone under 18 who helps to look after someone in their family who is unwell or disabled. Caring can be rewarding and Young Carers can be more mature, empathetic and responsible than their peers. However, it can be a significant challenge to juggle the practical and emotional issues involved in looking after someone, with fulfilling their own needs and aspirations.

Job Role:

The purpose of the post is to support young Carers (under 18) and their families to enjoy a greater sense of wellbeing and better life chances through person centered, relational and enabling support.

We are looking for someone who can see strengths in every person, family and community. who has energy and passion as well as the self-awareness and skills to support young people and families.

Will include some daytime, after school, early evening and occasional weekend work / overnight stays. You will need the ability to travel around the county in your own car.

Additional Information:

Salary: £22,571 – £23,953 per annum pro rata

Hours: 21 hours per week

Location: Ceredigion

Welsh speakers highly desirable
