Job Role:
Through the provision of 1 to 1 sessions and group work, identify and respond to the specific emotional and practical needs of children and young people living in the City and County of Swansea who have previously, or are presently, suffering from/been exposed to domestic abuse. Using the self-help principle, alleviate the long term effects of DA, increase children and young people’s safety and enable self – confidence and emotional wellbeing. Assist and facilitate service users to make informed decisions and positive changes to their lives. Where appropriate, work with the family unit to enhance communication and enable the well-being of the family. Increase awareness of the impact of DA on children and young people within other agencies through worker liaison and collaboration
Additional Information:
All SWA Workers are expected to participate in the 24-hour on call provision on a rota basis
