We have an exciting opportunity for Young Persons Educator to join the Switched On team here in NewLink Wales, based in Cardiff.

About Switched On:

Switched On is a multi-agency team, comprising of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Public Health Wales and NewLink Wales.  It is part of a package of services commissioned by the Cardiff and Vale Substance Misuse Area Planning Board.  Switched On is currently housed in Meridian Court Business Centre and works closely with NewLink Wales’ other services.

Switched On is an information, education and advice service for anyone under the age of 25.  Whether they’re worried about their own experiences with substance misuse, concerned about a friend or relative, or just simply want to get their facts straight, Switched On can help young people stay informed.

Job Role:

The purpose of the Young Persons Educator is to work within the Switched On team to provide information, education and an advice service for young people and adults under the age of 25.  Whether they’re worried about their own experiences with substance misuse, concerned about a friend or relative, or just simply want to get their facts straight, Switched On can help young people stay informed. Much of the work will take place in Schools and alternative educational environments.
