Llamau is a leading homelessness charity in Wales, supporting the most vulnerable young people and women. We are particularly well known for working with those most at risk. We have some exciting opportunities throughout our organisation for full and part time Support Workers, and night-time Support Workers. Our roles offer flexible working that could fit around other commitments you may have and we offer good salaries and a strong benefits package to all of our employees.
At Llamau we believe that no young person or vulnerable woman should ever have to experience homelessness. Our mission is to eradicate homelessness for young people and vulnerable women. But for thousands of the most vulnerable people in Wales, homelessness is a frightening reality.
30 years ago Llamau was founded to provide homeless teenagers with a safe place to stay. Since then, we have supported over 67,000 young people, women and their children who are either homeless or facing homelessness.
As a Support Worker/Support Assistant, you could be working in any one of our teams: Young People’s Services, Women’s Services or Domestic Abuse Services. You would receive a thorough induction into the service/project as well as in house training, tailored to the service where you would be working.
Contract: Permanent and Fixed Term
We have roles available in Ebbw Vale, Merthyr Tydfil, Neath Port Talbot, Swansea, Torfaen and the Vale of Glamorgan
Full time is 35 hours plus on call (part time hours are also available)
This is an ongoing recruitment drive and we are looking to recruit flexible, resilient, enthusiastic team players across all of our services who can engage with those we support, enabling them to achieve their goals.
If you feel you can show flexibility and are committed to making a difference we would like to hear from you.
