Summary: Social Media and Communications Officer

The Social Media and Communications Officer will support the implementation and delivery of the Building a Better Future Project by managing and producing content for our digital communication channels.

DAP was set up in 1996 and exists to champion the rights, equality and independence of all disabled people including those with a chronic or life limiting illness and their families and carers.  DAP is a community based user led organisation which provides advice and information on all disability issues including help with benefits, care plans, access issues, discrimination and representation at tribunals.   We also offer workplace volunteering opportunities to support social inclusion within our organisation.   We are based in Cwmbran and primarily serve the Aneurin Bevan Health Board areas of Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen, Newport, Monmouthshire and Caerphilly but will deal with enquiries from all over Wales through email and social media.

Job Role:

You will work with staff and volunteers to maintain up-to-date content across all communications platforms. Can you create content for multi-media channels, including the website, social media, leaflets, posters that will engage the people we support?

Additional Information:

DAP provides a workplace pension in line with statutory duty. We use NEST the pension provider set up by the government. Staff will be automatically enrolled or given the option to be enrolled dependent on their earnings.

Post funded until 31st January 2023

All roles are entitled to the equivalent of 4 weeks annual leave plus 8 days statutory holidays and company leave during office closure over Christmas and New Year.
