We offer an exciting new role to develop the foundational economy in disadvantaged communities in the south Wales valleys.
The Bevan Foundation is Wales’ most innovative and influential think tank. We develop solutions to poverty and inequality and inspire action.
We believe Wales should be a nation of equality, justice and prosperity, a nation where everyone has a decent standard of living, a healthy and fulfilling life, and a voice in the decisions that affect them. Instead, a shocking number of people’s lives are blighted by inequality, injustice and poverty, with little hope of change.
We are independent, are not aligned with any political party and do not receive government funding. We rely on the generosity of our donors to make a difference.
You will work with local businesses and community leaders to increase understanding of the foundational economy, and develop practical solutions to maximise its potential.
You’ll have an in-depth understanding of community economic development and the south Wales valleys, an ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders and the community, and the ability to develop innovative solutions. You’ll be well-organised, highly motivated and a good team player.
