This is an exciting time for Linc and you could be part of it. We have teams of highly skilled professionals working with governments, businesses and communities here in Wales working to improve lives and change the image of health care and social housing. Pr & events lead.
Established in 1977, Linc-Cymru Housing Association Ltd (Linc) is a Registered Society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and a Registered Social Landlord regulated by the Welsh Government. We are a socially responsible business and all profits are reinvested for the benefit of our customers rather than being distributed to shareholders.
An organisation’s values say a great deal about a company’s mind set, the way it thinks, the direction it is going, what drives it and whether it is an organisation that values people. We are very clear on our values:
We are focused on ensuring that the services we provide to our customers are directed at meeting their needs and represent value for money.
We have a positive, ‘can do’ attitude in all that we do that enhances our reputation as a leading provider of housing, health and social care services across Wales.
Our approach is innovative and forward looking, consistently seeking new opportunities and ways of working in partnership with others to evolve and enhance our services.
Corporate Structure: We have two primary strands, or business units within our corporate structure:
Linc Homes operates across South Wales and provides social and affordable homes for rent and to buy. Our intermediate and market rent schemes provide homes to people who are unable to buy due to the current economic climate or who want to rent but do not qualify for social housing.
Linc Care operates across Wales and provides homes and services to older and vulnerable tenants. We specialise in supported housing for vulnerable people; sheltered housing for older people; extra Care housing, nursing and respite care. Our nursing care activities are regulated by the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW).
In more recent times, organisations like Linc have been encouraged to diversify into other businesses that support or add value to wider community regeneration projects. We have two such ventures and further information can be found on our Linc Enterprise page.
As PR & Events Lead we want you to help boost our story, make our voice heard and influence. We want you to help make our message the loudest, most respected and reliable in the housing and care sectors, and to grasp the public and decision makers’ attention. Working within our Comms team you will focus on proactively generating positive and agenda-setting news coverage of our work and engaging with local councils and businesses about the work that we do. This will involve handling media enquiries, writing press releases, and looking for opportunities to comment on key breaking news. You will also effectively monitor and evaluate the success of our media activities.
You will also be the lead on our events. These can range from public consultations working with local councils and our innovative development team, to annual staff events. One minute you could be publicising Wales’ first Passivhaus development and edible garden and the next you could be arranging a staff conference for over 600 colleagues. The role is extremely varied which is what makes it so exciting.
You must have experience in a PR and Events role and be experienced at seizing an opportunity and turning it into a news story.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with exceptional communication skills and has the ability to create strong relationships with external stakeholders such as contractors, AMs, local councillors and the media.
Interviews will be held on either 28th or 30th August.
