About us

Cardiff foodbank opened in 2009 and is part of the Trussell Trust network– a nationwide network of food banks, together providing emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaigning for change to end the need for food banks in the UK. It is supported by a team of over 200 volunteers and currently operates across 8 centres.

The foodbank is committed to working alongside people struggling against poverty which results in food in-security, to learn from and be shaped by their knowledge and experience, building an evidence base for leveraging wider change.
