Be a Disability Gamechanger and join our Working on Wellbeing Employment Service as an Employment Adviser within our new team.
We’re Scope, the disability equality charity in England and Wales. We:
- provide practical information and emotional support when it’s most needed
- campaign relentlessly to create a fairer society.
Your role will be to manage a case-load of disabled customers, supporting and empowering them to find work whilst ensuring that all programme KPI’s are met. We have launched our new service under lockdown restrictions and are now fully up and running and accepting referrals albeit delivering digitally at the moment rather than in the community.
We are looking to recruit an experienced adviser preferably with employability experience.
You will bring drive and enthusiasm to your role and can demonstrate that you care passionately about improving disabled people’s lives through employment. You will have excellent negotiation skills and have the ability to positively influence employers. Being dynamic, results-driven and comfortable working to targets with a proven track record of achieving outcomes both over the phone and in face to face meetings will enable you to succeed within the role. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong organisational skills and experience in a similar role, and be confident delivering the service to our customers on either a one-one basis or within group- based delivery.
You will also work with delivery partners to promote our services to disabled people and generate referrals to this voluntary service.
With a base within our Cardiff Office you will be required to travel to deliver support to our customers initially across our delivery area of Cardiff and Vale and Cwm Taf, however wider travel may be required to support the contract delivery, when lockdown restrictions ease. The ability to work from home in the initial stages is required.
