Job Role:

Through effective engagement activities, the post holder will be responsible for delivering one-to-one adult literacy sessions to enable learners to improve their reading, writing and communication skills. The sessions will be learner centred and in response to individual needs. A holistic approach is required, so that learners can overcome personal barriers, accessing opportunities and gaining support where necessary. The post holder will also be responsible for raising the profile of the ‘Readability’ programme through effective partnership working and within the community.

Additional Information:

Contract: Fixed term until March 2025

Location: Llanhilleth Miners Institute. However, the job will require flexibility, including some one-to-one sessions in local libraries/community centres.

Hours: Flexible – minimum of 30 hours per week, maximum 37.5 hours

Salary: £27,300 per annum (pro rata of 37.5 hours)
